I wrote a post on Webseo, titled “High Ranking Content Ideas“. It was basically an blog post about how I use Yahoo Answers to find content to write an article about.
My thoughts are that if I am going to write an article, I don’t want to waste my time and I want to be able to research the topic easily and Yahoo Answers allow me to do that. But, it is sloooooooooow! And I could buy plugins that make the job easier, but I wanted a script that would allow me to get content that people are searching for and the answers that will allow me to put together a great answer.
As an example. I want to write an article about keeping a Goldfish and I want to find out what is the most sought after question related to Goldfish. In the past I would have gone to Yahoo Ansers and did a search using the keyword “Goldfish” and then selected the “most popular questions” and then shuffled through all the results until I found a question about Goldfish which had at least 6 answers. Then I would copy all the answers and write and article based on all the answers I had copied. I do not use the answers straight from Yahoo Answers, that’s wrong and I will not do that. I re-write the content based on the answers I had copied.
This whole process works, but is slow and tedious.
Jonathan Leger is a bloody genius and again has come up with a script which will make this whole articles process 50% easier. It’s called Answers Analyst and just like all of Jons scripts Answers Analyst is up there with the best of them.

Great post. I have used Yahoo answers quite a bit for finding questions but I have not been as thorough as you.
