Making money with Adsense is one of the easiest ways to make money online, but you need good content to keep the visitors coming. But keep in mind that if you have a successful niche website keeping the traffic on your site is important. This is were building a list is important, but thats another post.

There is no one little trick that will convert your website overnight into a money making machine.

A website with just 1000 visitors a day, even if they all clicked on ads will not make you wealthy. Some websites, especially those such as social websites have millions of visitors a day and most report that the income x visitors ratio is very poor.

Yet there are indeed other websites that do earn well, there is no doubt. What they all seem to have in common from my own experience is traffic, yes, very FEW adsense ads (not overloaded with ads), ads in strange positions (not the normal places), and perhaps not very good web site design… just look at plentyoffish – a rather scrappy kind of website layout – but it works, plentyoffish is one the big earners.

Perhaps the answer is take a big risk (while not breaking adsense TOS) and really try simple but radical designs and ads positioning – for most of us adsense publishers it would not make matters worse than they currently are, but it might just make things better…
